        Practice Sessions

Practice sessions should be goal oriented with the focus upon accomplishment. Every practice period should end with the student having learned some principal pertaining to music theory; Or either improved or mastered some technique on the guitar.  This type of approach will give the student the desire to improve upon their playing, and also test their abilities with harder and more complex techniques.

The Self-Taught Guitarist

This site is dedicated to helping those who are teaching themselves to play the guitar without the aid of a guitar instructor. Introducing helpful guitar tips, articles, free lessons and gear that may help you with that endeavor. With years learning the hard way, by trial and error, I found myself constantly looking for answers to what I thought were simple questions. I guess the saying is true. 'Nobody is as great as his master" meaning that guitar masters gave you just enough information to make you good; but not great. Teaching yourself requires great patience, and discipline. And if you can't find information to help you resolve some issue, you have to figure it out yourself. As it grows, I hope this website will provide you with a place to go for just that information.
